After taking a year off to build our Muscle Car Garage, we once again hosted Muscle By The Lake
at our lake front home. For 2012, the Auto Enthusiast's Gathering was held on Saturday,
September 15th, and far surpassed the inaugural Muscle By The Lake in 2010.
The weather was a perfect 80 degrees with low humidity, a slight breeze and plenty of sun. A total
of 45 enthusiasts gathered to join us and check out a wide variety of 17 automobiles and partake of some
of the best food to be found at a car show. Over the course of the gathering this year we had 7 Mustangs,
2 Camaros, 2 Corvettes, single examples of a Model A, Road Runner, Cobra, and Corvair, a Ford
F150 Harley Edition, and a great 50's Hemi powered Chrysler. Along with grilled dogs and brats there
was ample potluck food and drink with 50's music playing all day in the new Muscle Car Garage.
We concluded the day with a 20 mile back roads cruise to Waconia MN where we stopped at the
fantastic Mocha Monkey Coffee House (thanks for some great coupons John!).
